To offer an opportunity for level 5 and level 6 students from the BSc (Hons) Football Coaching and Performance degree to gain an insight in the structure and organisation of professional football in Barcelona visiting FC Barcelona; visiting La Masia; tour of Nou Camp; to work with coaches from FCBEcola; observe ESCOLA sessions; to spend a day at the National Institute of PE (INEFC); to watch and engage in Semi-Professional coaching sessions; to hear from elite coaches in Catalonia (philosophy of coaching, methodology and player development); watch a live La Liga match and to visit the Barcelona Olympic Park.
The trip would ordinarily last for 6 days (5 nights).
Dates: Wednesday 29th January 2025 – Monday 3rd February 2025.
Detailed Description
The cost of the trip will be £760 per student, excluding incidental expenses, day time meals and transfer to the airport in England (either Gatwick or Heathrow). We are hoping to make the cost as cheap as possible for students. Note however that numerous excursions, entrance fees to venues, metro cards for unlimited travel, airport transfer in Barcelona and accommodation (including breakfast) will be included in this price.
An initial deposit of £300 will be required to secure a place on the visit. Thereafter full payment will need to be made in a final instalment (date to be confirmed). If you wish to attend please pay the £300 deposit. We have a limited number of places available for this trip and these will be allocated according to first come first served.
If you do secure a place on the trip please note that once paid, deposits (and instalment money) will be refundable if the trip gets cancelled by the university, however the deposit and instalment money paid will be non-refundable if the trip does go ahead.
